when things don't go your way

​“For I know what plans I have in mind for you,’ says Adonai, ‘plans for well-being, not for bad things; so that you can have hope and a future.  When you call to me and pray to me, I will listen to you.  When you seek me, you will find me, provided you seek for me wholeheartedly.”  - Jeremiah 29:11-14 (CJB).      
 
Many of us will become disappointed because we didn’t achieve a goal we were striving for, or if things didn’t go the way we planned.  The operative here word is we.  We get angry with God because what we wanted didn’t happen.  God has nothing to do with the plans we make for ourselves.  He has his plans for us, for a hope and a future.  The goals we need to focus on and strive for are His.  He is the one that guides our steps.  We need to always follow His ways.  We may lose a step or two along the way, and he will let us know if we have.  But we need to have those eyes to see and ears to hear when he speaks or shows us… When he moves, we need to move with Him, and not be angry with Him when it’s not going our way.  
 
“Trust in  with all your heart; do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him; then he will level your paths.” - Proverbs 3:5-6 (CJB)
 
“If someone is serving me, let him follow me; wherever I am, my servant will be there too. My Father will honor anyone who serves me.” - John 12:26 (CJB)
