SONSHINE IN THE STORM

“Halleluyah! Servants of Adonai, give praise! Give praise to the name of Adonai! Blessed be the name of Adonai from this moment on and forever! From sunrise until sunset Adonai’s name is to be praised.”

- Psalm 113:1-3, CJB

The last couple of years have really put many of us through the ringer with all the craziness going on in the world, and 2022 doesn’t seem to be looking any better. So, what do we as believers in Yeshua do? We press in! Yes, we are getting sick, and our loved ones are dying. Yes, we’re losing jobs and prices are going up; but we can’t let the enemy get a foothold. We need to press in. Yeshua is our rock when life gets hard; he is our shelter when we need it; he is our salvation. Let us praise him and rejoice in knowing this truth, that no matter what you are going through in any stage of life, he will never leave us or forsake us. He is the sonshine in this storm, and we will continue to praise him.

PLANT SEEDS

“However, each will be rewarded according to his work. For we are God’s co-workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.” - 1 Corinthians 3:8-9, CJB

Every day brings choices; what we say, what we do, how we behave; … it all matters. In a world where it seems to be all about “Me, Myself, and I,” 2022 should be a year of,” How can I help you?” It seems all the negativity stemming from COVID and excessive crime in this world has tainted people’s hearts. Unfortunately, I see this is happening even in some congregations. News around the world is being taught from the pulpit, instead of God’s Word; negativity is being taught, instead of the love of Yeshua. People aren’t going to love one another when they’re being taught to hate others.

All of us in the Body need to remember who we are in Yeshua. In this, we are God’s co-workers, whereas seen in Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) we are told that,

“…  we are his workmanship, created in Messiah Yeshua for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Everything we do or say to others in our everyday lives, should glorify him. This year let’s love one another the way he loves us, teach his Word that they may learn from it, and plant the seeds so God can make them grow.

Be a Blessing and be Blessed!
