“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, enter his courtyards with praise; give thanks to him, and bless his name. For Adonai is good, his grace continues forever, and his faithfulness lasts through all generations.” - Psalm 100:4-5, CJB 2020 has been quite the year. It started out with such promise and then in March, COVID hit! Everything and everyone were locked down. While at first it didn’t seem to bad, it was. Some of us couldn’t worship together, couldn’t work together, or many lost their jobs. We couldn’t even properly bury our loved ones. Some lost everything with the rioting and looting. Now as the year winds down, we find ourselves in an election debacle and again being separated for the holidays. But in the midst of it all, there is God’s Word reminding us that all who follow him, will be free in spirit. If your focus has been on Yeshua through all this, then indeed you are. His light guided us through the darkness. God’s Word teaches us that there will be many trials. His Word also teaches how to get through those trials. Let us continue to focus on the good. Praise him in all things and give him thanks, for he is so good. In the midst of it all, there is so much to be thankful for. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” - Romans 5:3-5, ESV Character matters! We’ve been hearing that phrase a lot lately, but what does that mean? What we carry in our hearts defines how we behave. Our thoughts, our actions, what we say, comes from the heart. A glad heart brings forth happiness. When we are happy, we have hope in better things to come. When we are sad, we can still treat others with love and respect; be kind to those who are not kind to us. Sour hearts spew hate, venom and judgmentalism. The phrase, “leaves a sour taste in one’s mouth”, comes to mind. People with sour hearts, can leave you hurt and downtrodden, sometimes even angry. We can all have our thoughts and ideas, but how are communicating those thoughts and ideas to others? Are you leaving someone wallowing in their ilk, or are they thanking you for what you said? We protect our hearts by protecting theirs. When we carry Yeshua in our hearts we can fight off any negative thing from getting in. We will suffer, but in that suffering we will continue to love and continue to hope, because he is our hope. Even when we are being torn down, our character will be to build up, because character does matter. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz November 16, 2020 | 29th of Cheshvan, 5781 “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Yeshua his Son cleanses us from all sin.” - 1 John 1:5-7, ESV When I became a new believer, I was introduced to the light; the light being Gods word and the people God surrounded me with, which told me how to live. Although I already believed in Yeshua, I learned more about who he was as a man on this earth. He was a man without sin. He did not compromise. When darkness (Satan) tried to entice him, he gave no heed to it. Unfortunately, we are not like him, but we strive every day to be like him. For there are those of us that know what it’s like to walk in darkness and reap the ramifications from walking in that darkness. And though we all fall short at times, it’s his word, his light that keeps us on his path. “For what fellowship does light have with darkness?” 2 Cor. 6:14. We are tempted every day, but we should not let ourselves fall prey to the things of this world, and we should not let those around us fall either. We should not fall to those things that are not of God; those things that Yeshua himself would not do. We will be invited by believers and non-believers alike to join in with much fun. If you ever get a check in your spirit of something you’re about to do, ask yourself, what Yeshua would do? It’s okay to say no, Yeshua did. Continue to walk in his light and be that light to those around you, that they may also come to know him. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed!
