“This is my command: that you keep on loving each other just as I have loved you. No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends.” - John 15:12-13 - CJB Today is Memorial Day, a day to remember those who laid down their lives so that we may be free. Sadly, there are many that will take their freedom for granted, not realizing the many lives lost for it. Freedom isn’t free and we should always remember and never forget those men and women who sacrificed their lives for that freedom. God himself sent us his only Son Yeshua, who taught us what it means to lay down one’s life for those we love. His was the ultimate sacrifice. Just as Yeshua knew the outcome of what was to be, our men and women know that when they join the military, they may never come home. No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends”, or country. Let us remember today, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can continue to have our freedom. “But Ruth said, “Don’t press me to leave you and stop following you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God will be my God.” ~ Ruth 1:16, CJB Ruth could’ve gone home to her mother after her husband died, but she chose to stay with her mother-in-law Naomi. It didn’t matter that Naomi had nothing to give, Ruth wasn’t going back to her old way of life, she wanted to stay with family she had grown to love. Most importantly, even when she didn’t know where this road with Naomi was taking her, she wanted to continue to follow the one true God. I have known many believers in Yeshua who have gone back to old lifestyles because of fear of the unknown, or afraid of what they might lose. I was there once myself, and I want to say that whatever you lose is not God’s intention for you. He does not want you to be a part of this world, but a part of his. You will hit obstacles along the way, but you need to be steadfast in your walk and not go back. I look back on my life and see how far he has brought me, and I know I did not get here on my own. God will not steer you wrong, he only has good for you all the days of your life. Step out in faith and trust where God is leading you. Go where he goes; stay where he stays. Be one with him. Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz May 17, 2021 | 6th of Sivan, 5781 “Whoever offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice honors me; and to him who goes the right way I will show the salvation of God.” - Psalm 50:23, CJB Happy Monday Everyone! I know, not many of us don’t look forward to Monday’s. We’ve just come off a relaxing weekend with friends and family and see Monday as going back to the weekly grind. But we’ve also been to places of worship. We’ve thanked Adonai, we’ve praised Yeshua, we’ve asked the Holy Spirit to fill this place. Sanctuaries aren’t the only places God lives; he also lives in us. So let us go into this week with a good heart and love for what we do. Thank him for everything. Let us offer ourselves up to him and give him all the glory. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz May 10, 2021 | 28th of Iyyar, 5781 “Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.” - Ephesians 6:13-15, ESV Have you put on your full armor of God today? Every day we are faced with new challenges, and sometimes it can feel like we are going into battle. The Lord goes before us and he paves the way, but the enemy will try to deceive us to take us down another path. We can avoid that by having a closer relationship to Yeshua. By being in the word, God shows us how we should live. When we live as he wants, it makes us stronger to defeat what the enemy puts in our paths. So, every morning, as you get ready for the day ahead, read your devotionals, say your morning prayers, and put on the full armor of God, so you will be equipped to stand.
