“This is the confidence we have in his presence: if we ask anything that accords with his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us — whatever we ask — then we know that we have what we have asked from him.”- 1 John 5:14-15, CJB We change the way we react toward God when we pray His will into all things. I know I’ve talked about prayer before, but sometimes we need to be reminded that how we pray matters. We fall into this trap of getting angry with God cause He didn’t answer our prayers the way we wanted Him to. It’s not our will be done it’s, “His will be done”; not only His will, but also His timing. God knows our hearts, He knows what we want, but He also has a plan and knows what He wants from us. Sometimes we have to go through the storm to get to where He wants us to be, and in going through that storm, we thank Him and praise Him and pray His will in all of it. He will bring us through when we pray His will be done, and we will see His answer more clearly and understand Him better when we pray this way. He is a good God! Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! “Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
~ Isaiah 65:24, CJB Would you know a God-thing if you were to experience it? Have you ever asked God for help, and he answered in that moment? You’re looking all over for something you misplaced, or you can’t remember something you were going to say. I’ve experienced these things, and Yeshua has either answered directly, or through somebody else; and every time I’m amazed of his works. The other day during our Shabbat service I was going over announcements with a congregant, and I couldn’t remember a specific announcement that needed to be made. Just as I said aloud, “Okay, The Lord will have to remind me,” another congregant came up and asked about the very thing I needed to remember. I then told her that it was a God-thing and reminded her that Yeshua used her to help me remember! “God-things” like this happen to us every day, but do we acknowledge him in it? Are we so busy trying to find him in the big things, that we don’t see him in these little things? These little things are just as significant as the big things. So as you go about your busy day, pay attention to those little things, … those little details. Before you even think or speak, he will reveal himself to you. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33, NIV
What is your purpose for today? Is it to be a blessing, or to be harmful? Believe it or not, there are those in the body who do cause harm. The troubles of this world have flowed into the congregations, causing strife among the body. Personal opinions have become more important than God’s Word. There was a time we could agree to disagree, but now people are vilified for disagreeing. His word says there will be those that conform to this world. It’s sad to see this happen, but do not lose heart. Do not let yourselves be troubled; feel his peace. Do not be afraid to speak HIS TRUTH. Continue to pray for and be a blessing to those who choose to cause harm. May those who have lost their way, come back home. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed!
