“Above all, brothers, stop swearing oaths — not ‘By heaven,’ not ‘By the earth,’ and not by any other formula; rather, let your ‘Yes’ be simply ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ simply ‘No,’ so that you won’t fall under condemnation.” - James 5:12, CJB Promises Made, Promises Not Kept! What promises have you made that you didn’t keep? Have you told people you would do things, only to turn around and not follow through? We have all done this at one time or another. We say we’ll do something in the moment, only to realize we won’t be able to follow through. Or, we say we won’t do certain things, only to do them. Many believe that unless you say the actual words, “I Promise”, or “I Solemnly Swear,” that’s its not really a promise, but we must remember that saying the words, “I Will” and “I Won’t”, are also promises. “I will pay you back," “I will fix that for you,” “I won’t tell anybody” ... It happens in conversations without a thought to what’s being said. Then, trust is broken and the dynamic of the relationship changes. In order for our hearts to be right with God, we need our hearts to be right with people as well. It’s okay to say the words, “Let Me Pray On That." Whatever we do in our daily routines, with whatever conversations we have, may we be slow to speak and pray on all things and do unto others as we would have done to us. “Whatever work you do, put yourself into it, as those who are serving not merely other people, but the Lord. Remember that as your reward, you will receive the inheritance from the Lord. You are slaving for the Lord, for the Messiah.” - Colossians 3:23-24, CJB Wake up children of the Lord, God is calling you! What is God calling you to today? Whether it be your job or ministry, God is calling you. As we prepare ourselves for a new day, let us be aware, and make room for what Yeshua has in store for us. We can’t be so caught up in our daily tasks that when He calls, we only give Him 50%, because we either have others things to do, or we’re too tired. The time is now to say, “Yes Lord, I will do this.” Obedience, covenant, and relationship! Don’t see it as a chore, but something you get to do. God chose you for this moment; choose to give God your all. “There’s a yes in our hearts that carries through eternity, simple obedience changes history.” (Lindy Conant). Let’s be obedient when He calls! Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz October 19, 2020 | First of Cheshvan, 5781 Rosh Chodesh For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear. - 2 Timothy 4:3, CJB … That time is now! Those of us in the body are seeing it all around us. Those of us who teach biblical truth, are getting push back from those who don’t want to hear the hard word. They don’t want to hear that they have to change for God, they want God to change for them. He won’t change, he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He formed us in the womb; he molded us and shaped us. His word is clear on how we are to live. Unfortunately, there are those who are catering to what society wants instead of what God wants. They no longer teach the hard word, but teach that as long as you follow Yeshua, no matter what, you’re ok to continue to live the way you’re living. They care more about their popularity than the salvation of their people. For them, they need to get back to the foundation of his word and turn their congregations back to him. All of us as leaders, need to continue to stand by Gods word. Yeshua’s teachings should never be twisted to make the people happy, but taught properly so the people are happy in Yeshua. We as leaders, should never let our people continue to be slaves to their sins. Instead, we need to continue to stand strong in his word, and teach our people to live in the fullness of Yeshua, and help them to be free from their sins and live the way God intended. Stand to teach the truth. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz October 12, 2020 | 24th of Tishrei, 5781 “May God, the source of hope, fill you completely with joy and shalom as you continue trusting, so that by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh you may overflow with hope.” - Romans 15:13 CJB
God has brought us through our trials and made us new. Recently, the Jewish community celebrated Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, where God brought his people out of the diaspora into the new land. He took us out of despair and brought us into new hope. He has taken our sins and made them void. This week with Sukkot, we celebrate the fruits of the harvest he has provided, and we eat the sweetness of it, reminding us of his love for us. If you are someone who is still walking in the desert, know that there is nothing he won’t do for you, if you just ask him. He is the God of mercy and love. He will never fail you. He will set you free. He will give you hope for the future. As we come out if this season of being purified and starting anew, may we continue to walk in his ways and feel the fullness of his love. For all he’s given us, let us rejoice in him. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kat Rantz October 5, 2020 17th of Tishrei, 5781, Sukkot III |
