“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not suppressed it.”- John 1:5, CJB
This Chanukah season certainly hasn’t gone without incident. There have not only been many attacks against the Jewish communities but also the Christian communities that stand with them and Israel. Chanukah is a season to remember the Maccabees and what they did so that they and all of Judaism could live as God intended. Centuries later, as Jews and the Gentiles who stand with them, celebrate the Miracle of Lights, there are those who would still try to annihilate them. Darkness may seem to loom large, but Yeshua’s light looms larger. As this season of Chanukah and this year comes to a close, let’s not let anti-Semitism steal our light. Let’s let his light continue to shine through us and carry us through 2020. Jewish people and Christians who stand with Israel, will see a victory, because the battle does belong to the Lord. “So, do not fear them; for there is nothing covered that will not be uncovered, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.” - Matthew 10:26-27, CJB Yeshua is the Son of God! He did die on the Cross to save us! I see more and more people proclaiming this, but still so many who follow the mainstream of not wanting to offend. Maybe they fear the persecution. We should never be afraid to show who we are in the Lord, and we should never fear speaking his truth. If someone confesses a sin to you, don’t leave them wallowing in their mess, help them in Yeshua to free themselves from that sin. If your neighbor is hurting, don’t be afraid to approach them with love. Don’t be afraid to correct when correction is needed, or discipline where discipline is needed; this is how we learn and grow. Be who you are in the Lord, and speak his truth. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kat 18th of Kislev, 5780 | December 16, 2019 “... You are to love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other mitzvah greater than these.” - Mark 12:31, CJB Do we love our neighbors, or only the ones we deem worthy of love? People have their differences; they look different, they dress differently, they have differences of opinions. Why should any of that matter? It shouldn’t. Despite the differences, we should always be cordial toward one another. We should never return hate for hate, we should always speak reasonably to one another. Go into this week with the purpose of being kind! Don’t worry about what others do or what they think. If you find yourself in a situation with someone who wants to ruffle your feathers, be kind and love them anyway! “There are three ways to ultimate success. The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.” - Mister Rogers Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kat 11th of Kislev, 5780 | December 9, 2019 “In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:16, Complete Jewish Bible Are you at your wits end because nothing in your life is going right? Nothing in life is going your way? Take a step back and pause. Focus on the Lord and see what God may be doing in the midst of all the chaos. Worship him through it all and let your faith be strengthened. Even in the hardest days, let them see you shine! Be a Blessing and Be Blessed!
