“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not suppressed it.”- John 1:5, CJB
This Chanukah season certainly hasn’t gone without incident. There have not only been many attacks against the Jewish communities but also the Christian communities that stand with them and Israel. Chanukah is a season to remember the Maccabees and what they did so that they and all of Judaism could live as God intended. Centuries later, as Jews and the Gentiles who stand with them, celebrate the Miracle of Lights, there are those who would still try to annihilate them. Darkness may seem to loom large, but Yeshua’s light looms larger. As this season of Chanukah and this year comes to a close, let’s not let anti-Semitism steal our light. Let’s let his light continue to shine through us and carry us through 2020. Jewish people and Christians who stand with Israel, will see a victory, because the battle does belong to the Lord.
