FREEDOM AND OUR CALL TO REMEMBER

Today is Memorial Day, a day to remember those who laid down their lives so we could have our freedom.   Sadly, there are many that take their lives for granted, not realizing that they are here because of those men and women who sacrificed themselves.  All our lives we are taught to forgive and forget. 

While forgiving is essential for our wellbeing, we should never forget.  We should never forget where we came from or how we came to be.  God brought us into being.  He sent us his only Son Yeshua, who taught us what it means to lay down one’s life for those we love.  “No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends”, or country.  

Let us remember today those who sacrificed themselves so we can continue to have our freedom.
