Memorial Day

“This is my command: that you keep on loving each other just as I have loved you. No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends.” - John 15:12-13 - CJB



Today is Memorial Day, a day to remember those who laid down their lives so that we may be free. Sadly, there are many that will take their freedom for granted, not realizing the many lives lost for it. Freedom isn’t free and we should always remember and never forget those men and women who sacrificed their lives for that freedom.  God himself sent us his only Son Yeshua, who taught us what it means to lay down one’s life for those we love.  His was the ultimate sacrifice.  Just as Yeshua knew the outcome of what was to be, our men and women know that when they join the military, they may never come home.  No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends”, or country.  

Let us remember today, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can continue to have our freedom.
