“You meant to do me harm, but God meant it for good — so that it would come about as it is today, with many people’s lives being saved.” Genesis 50:20, CJB Only just a few weeks ago we were getting through this pandemic together. People spoke of love and holding each other up through this trial; that we are all in this together. Then in the blink of an eye, it all came crashing down with the murder of George Floyd. The hate and rage surfaced and divided us all once more. How could this happen? How can you love one moment and hate so violently the next? It happens because God wasn’t in any of it; it was a false love. Yes, we can all get upset and angry when things go awry, but when God is in the center of all things, the love is real and we are able to control our actions. As things unfold before us with these riots, we as believers need to continue to believe that God will turn all things for good. We need to continue to press in with prayer, praise, worship. These are the things that strengthen us. If we continue to be the light in the darkness, we will see a victory. Let’s all continue to pray God’s will in all of this. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed!
