“This is my command: that you keep on loving each other just as I have loved you. No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends.” - John 15:12-13 - CJB Today is Memorial Day, a day to remember those who laid down their lives so that we may be free. Sadly, there are many that will take their freedom for granted, not realizing the many lives lost for it. Freedom isn’t free and we should always remember and never forget those men and women who sacrificed their lives for that freedom. God himself sent us his only Son Yeshua, who taught us what it means to lay down one’s life for those we love. His was the ultimate sacrifice. Just as Yeshua knew the outcome of what was to be, our men and women know that when they join the military, they may never come home. No one has greater love than a person who lays down his life for his friends”, or country. Let us remember today, those who paid the ultimate sacrifice so we can continue to have our freedom. “But Ruth said, “Don’t press me to leave you and stop following you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God will be my God.” ~ Ruth 1:16, CJB Ruth could’ve gone home to her mother after her husband died, but she chose to stay with her mother-in-law Naomi. It didn’t matter that Naomi had nothing to give, Ruth wasn’t going back to her old way of life, she wanted to stay with family she had grown to love. Most importantly, even when she didn’t know where this road with Naomi was taking her, she wanted to continue to follow the one true God. I have known many believers in Yeshua who have gone back to old lifestyles because of fear of the unknown, or afraid of what they might lose. I was there once myself, and I want to say that whatever you lose is not God’s intention for you. He does not want you to be a part of this world, but a part of his. You will hit obstacles along the way, but you need to be steadfast in your walk and not go back. I look back on my life and see how far he has brought me, and I know I did not get here on my own. God will not steer you wrong, he only has good for you all the days of your life. Step out in faith and trust where God is leading you. Go where he goes; stay where he stays. Be one with him. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz May 17, 2021 | 6th of Sivan, 5781 “Whoever offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice honors me; and to him who goes the right way I will show the salvation of God.” - Psalm 50:23, CJB Happy Monday Everyone! I know, not many of us don’t look forward to Monday’s. We’ve just come off a relaxing weekend with friends and family and see Monday as going back to the weekly grind. But we’ve also been to places of worship. We’ve thanked Adonai, we’ve praised Yeshua, we’ve asked the Holy Spirit to fill this place. Sanctuaries aren’t the only places God lives; he also lives in us. So let us go into this week with a good heart and love for what we do. Thank him for everything. Let us offer ourselves up to him and give him all the glory. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz May 10, 2021 | 28th of Iyyar, 5781 “Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.” - Ephesians 6:13-15, ESV Have you put on your full armor of God today? Every day we are faced with new challenges, and sometimes it can feel like we are going into battle. The Lord goes before us and he paves the way, but the enemy will try to deceive us to take us down another path. We can avoid that by having a closer relationship to Yeshua. By being in the word, God shows us how we should live. When we live as he wants, it makes us stronger to defeat what the enemy puts in our paths. So, every morning, as you get ready for the day ahead, read your devotionals, say your morning prayers, and put on the full armor of God, so you will be equipped to stand. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz May 3rd, 2021 | 21st of Iyyar, 5781 “But in my mind, I keep returning to something, something that gives me hope — that the grace of Adonai is not exhausted, that his compassion has not ended. [On the contrary,] they are new every morning! How great your faithfulness! “Adonai is all I have,” I say; “therefore I will put my hope in him.” Lamentations 3:21-24, CJB Whether it’s work, home, or just being out and about in public, life can be a struggle sometimes. But we can always go to Adonai with our problems. He never grows tired or weary of us coming to him. A lot of times we make the wrong choice, and we reap the consequence of it, but his grace finds us. The past is gone; today is a day to start fresh. With every choice you have to make from this point on, put your hope and trust in The Lord. He will not steer you down a wrong path. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz April 26, 2021 | 14th of Iyyar, 5781 “Sing praise to Adonai, you faithful of his; and give thanks on recalling his holiness. For his anger is momentary, but his favor lasts a lifetime. Tears may linger for the night, but with dawn come cries of joy... You turned my mourning into dancing! You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my well-being can praise you and not be silent; Adonai my God, I will thank you forever!” ~ Psalm 30:5-6,12-13, CJB “Joy still comes in the morning, Hope still walks with the hurting.” As I woke this morning the song, “Alive and Breathing by Matt Maher, was in my head. Then I turned on the news only to see that a little girl got caught in the crossfire and was killed. I was saddened and angry by the senseless act in how she died. Then my mind went to all the senseless tragedies, and all the hardships we go through every day in our lives. Many of us have gone through loss, pain, and hardship; many still are. Some more than others, but we shouldn’t measure these things by degrees; suffering is suffering. While it’s easy to get lost in all the tsuris (trouble or woe), we shouldn’t stay there. All of us who are believers in Yeshua, have seen first-hand the things he has done in our lives. All we have to do is look back on our lives, and we can see how Yeshua led us through every struggle. God turns our mourning into dancing, our sadness into joy, and our doubt into faith. It’s because of him we are able to forgive those that betray us. As hard as we know it is sometimes, let’s walk in joy and praise him through every storm. Thank you, Lord, for all you’ve done, everything you are doing now, and everything you will do. Let us pray for those that don’t know Yeshua; that they would receive him into their lives, so that they may have a right relationship with him. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz 7th of Iyyar, 5781 April 19th, 2021 "So, God created humankind in His own image; in the image of God, He created him: male and female He created them.” - Genesis 1:27, CJB
We are made so incredibly different, yet we are made in his image. Why is it then all throughout life, people feel they have to fit into someone else’s mold? I believe it’s because anything different from their norm is scary. Children will play with others well until peer pressure happens, and they become afraid of what others will think of them. Some will fall into it because they want to fit in, leaving their other friends in the dust because now they aren’t good enough. Soon enough children become adults and find the same behavior where they live, in their workplace, also within their place of worship. Yes, even in their congregations where we are taught to love one another as he loved us, there are clicks. They only want to be with their own kind, making others feel not worthy. These people will judge others on how they look and how they dress. They will make newcomers feel unwelcome. Just as when they were younger, they want to fit people into their mold. Friends, life isn’t about fitting into someone’s idea of who you should be, or their idea of how you should live. It’s about who God made you to be, and how he wants you to live. We are ALL made in his image. He gave us his son Yeshua to die on the cross for OUR sins; and that ALL that believe in him would not perish but have everlasting life. We are all taught to love one another as he loves us. We have a book (B.I.B.L.E.) that teaches us “Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth.” Let us share it with others, so they can do the same. Let us see one another as he sees us and love one another as he loves us. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz 30th of Nisan, 5781 12th of April, 2021 “Yeshua said to her, ‘I AM the Resurrection and the Life! Whoever puts his trust in me will live, even if he dies; and everyone living and trusting in me will never die. Do you believe this’?” - John 11:25 CJB Yes, I do. Whether you celebrate his resurrection during Passover or Easter; one thing is clear, he is risen. Although his resurrection is only recognized once a year, he is with us always. Through the ups and downs, the highs, and lows, he is there. He shows himself to us every day. We can put our trust in him because he will never steer us wrong. He is the resurrection. We are free because he died for us. We are alive because he lives. His is a life that should be celebrated every day. Let us live a life worthy of him. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kathleen Rantz April 5th, 2021 | 23rd of Nisan, 5781 “Get rid of the old hametz, so that you can be a new batch of dough, because in reality you are unleavened. For our Pesach lamb, the Messiah, has been sacrificed. So let us celebrate the Seder not with leftover hametz, the hametz of wickedness and evil, but with the matzah of purity and truth.” 1 Corinthians 5:7-8, CJB Passover marks the redemption and rebirth of the Jewish people who were freed from slavery and led to the promised land. It’s a mark of new beginnings, a new year. One of the ways we prepare for this holiday is to go through our homes, cleaning them from top to bottom to ensure we get all the hametz/leaven out; the leaven that also represents sin in our lives; the sin that clutters our hearts and minds. In a way our houses represent who we are. How we feel about ourselves, is how our houses are kept. Just as we clean the clutter (sin) out of our homes, we can also clean the clutter (sin) out of ourselves. We then bring in the matzah of purity and truth into our homes. Then during Passover, we eat the matzah, and that purity and truth then is inside us. A lot of people complain about matzah, because it’s dry and they can’t wait till they don’t have to eat it. While leaven represents the sin in our lives, for Messianic Jews, Matzah represents redemption and freedom of the Jewish people. When we take a good look at the matzah we see, “He was pierced for our transgressions ... by His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5. You can see the piercing’s, the bruises, the stripes. It reminds us that He has freed us from sin and shame. Now the matzah doesn’t seem so dry after all. We no longer focus on the food, we focus on him. As we eat our matzah of purity and truth this Passover season, let us not forget the one who died for our sins; the One for whom we serve. Empty our hearts and lives of sin and fill our hearts and lives with His truth. Let’s start a new season with Him. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kat March 22, 2021 | Ninth of Nisan, 5781 “And let us keep paying attention to one another, in order to spur each other on to love and good deeds, not neglecting our own congregational meetings, as some have made a practice of doing, but, rather, encouraging each other.” Hebrews 10:24, CJB Friendships are essential to one’s body, mind, and soul. Although we are individuals, it wasn’t meant for us to be alone with ourselves. We need stimulation, we need contact, we need to know we’re loved. God wants us to love one another the way He loves us. The best way to love one another is to build up those relationships with the people around us. Form a friendship with someone who needs a friend, especially with the new believers around you. Help them to transition into this new way of life they’ve found. Help them to know God’s love for them. Be a Blessing and Be Blessed! Monday Morning Inspirational By Rebbitzen Kat March 15, 2021 | 2nd of Nisan, 5781 |
